About Us

Kevin Hanks is an experienced Human Resources (HR) professional with over 30 years of experience. Kevin has worked in both the public and private sectors developing and implementing the most efficient and effective human resources functions. His expertise lies in recruiting, leadership development, employee training, and succession development.
Kevin founded CKH Human Resources Consulting, LLC after an impressive career in HR including roles as Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Talent, Learning and Organizational Development at New York University; AVP of Recruitment and Instructor Management and Strategy at The Princeton Review; Assistant Vice President of Recruitment at Edison Schools; Director of Human Resources at Southern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Service; and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources at Vallejo Unified School District. Prior to his career in HR, Kevin was an elementary school teacher and principal.
He believes the human resources function is the heart of any organization. He has demonstrated that belief by creating productive teams, developing successful programs and implementing technologies that are cost efficient and allow organizations to achieve their goals and objectives. Kevin has created teacher training programs for over 1,000 tutors at the Princeton Review, implemented a global applicant tracking system at The Princeton Review and New York University, and led recruitment teams that recruited 1,000’s candidates to positions ranging from administrative assistants to teachers to C-Suite executives.
Kevin holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Louisiana State University and a Master’s +60 from California State University.
Possessing a great passion for both animals and travel, Kevin has combined the two with extensive travels to six of the seven continents and his support of the Doris-ARK Animal Rescue and Kefalonia Animal Trust on his beloved island of Kefalonia, Greece. He is also the proud papa of two dogs and a clowder of cats.
